Definition of Advertisement & Copywriting

Advertising is an invitation or a solicitation aimed at readers, listeners, and viewers who receive such information to use or use, all sorts of things offered from the bid maker or the advertiser.
Types of Ads
Based on the form of advertising can be divided into two kinds, namely:
1. Ads column
           The column ads are ads in the form of columns (boxes), the rate is calculated per mm.
Column Ads are display ads in the ad pages space. With a width of 36 mm while for a height ranging from 30 mm to a maximum size of 100 mm
2. Classifieds
          Classified ads are in the form of ads or in the form of lines and use short words.
Usually this ad is used to promote an item/ services. Classified ads are counted per line.
While based on the goal, ads can be divided into:
1. Offer advertisements (goods / services)
2. Search ads
3. Sales ads
4. Job posting
5. Advertisement announcement

Copywriting is a creative advertising capability in word processing and creating advertising scripts that combine intellectual and artistic work to fulfill sales messages. Copywriting is writing with various styles and approaches generated through strategy, planning and cooperation between client, account executive and creative team in advertising agency.
Copywriting is required to be able to arouse, attract attention, move, identify, raise togetherness, and simultaneously communicate messages with comparative value to the target audience.
This means that copywriting can be said to be successful when it meets the elements in an advertising message:
a. Attention, can attract the attention of the audience.
b. Interest, can attract audience.
c. Desire, can affect the desire of the audience.
d. Conviction, can give confidence to the audience.
e. Action, can influence the audience to perform the action as expected and desired from the ad.

 
Example Elements of advertisement


 
Headline : to get your attention and draw you to the sub headline.
Sub headline : to give you more information and further explain the attention.
Caption : to describe the photo or drawing.
Logo : to display the name of the company selling the product.
Photo or Drawing : to get your attention and to illustrate the product more fully.
